Clean India Mission
The Clean India Mission programme of NACIA Foundation, also known as the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, is a nationwide campaign launched by the Government of India in 2014 with the aim of achieving universal sanitation coverage and making India clean and open-defecation free by 2nd October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The mission has since been extended with new goals and targets.
