How to protect children from sexual offence and bonded labor?

Education and Awareness: We at NACIA Foundation running Educational programme for children about their bodies, boundaries, and appropriate versus inappropriate behavior and teach them about consent and empower them to speak up if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe in their surroundings.

Open CommunicationUnder this programme we always prefer to foster open and honest communication with children, creating a safe space for them to share their concerns and ask questions. Encourage them to trust their instincts and seek help if they ever experience or witness any form of abuse.

Establish Boundaries and Rules We tried our level best to set clear boundaries and rules regarding personal safety, privacy, and interactions with others. Teach children about safe touch and unsafe touch, and empower them to assert their boundaries.

Screening and Supervision Be vigilant about who has access to children and supervise their interactions with adults, including family members, caregivers, teachers, coaches, and other authority figures. Conduct background checks and ensure that responsible adults are adequately trained in child protection.

Promote Healthy Relationships

We at NACIA Foundation under our programme teach children about healthy relationships, respect, empathy, and kindness. Help them understand the difference between healthy, supportive relationships and abusive or exploitative ones.

Provide Support and Resources

We often offer support and resources to victims of sexual abuse, including access to counseling, therapy, medical care, and legal assistance. Create a supportive environment where victims feel believed, validated, and empowered to heal.

Identify Warning Signs

Our focus is to teach them to recognize the warning signs of child sexual abuse, which can include changes in behavior, sudden mood swings, withdrawal, physical symptoms, or unexplained injuries and to take any concerns or suspicions seriously and seek professional help if needed.

Advocate for Policy and Legal Reform

We at NACIA Foundation have Advocate for stronger laws, policies, and initiatives to prevent child sexual abuse, prosecute perpetrators, and support survivors. We also support organizations and run various campaigns dedicated to ending child sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Reporting and Response

Encourage children to report any incidents of abuse or inappropriate behavior to a trusted adult, such as a parent, teacher, counselor, or helpline numbers provided by government agencies and social workers. Further, to take all reports seriously, and respond promptly and appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of the child.

Promote a Culture of Prevention

We at NACIA Foundation work together as a community to promote a culture of prevention, where child safety is prioritized, and everyone plays a role in protecting children from harm.
